  • 1.5 oz coconut rum
  • 1 oz Midori Melon Liqueur
  • 4 oz lemon-lime soda (or sparkling water for less sweetness)
  • Ice cubes
  • White sugar
  • Simple syrup

Directions For A Caribbean Water Drink

Coat the glass rim-  Pour some simple syrup into a shallow dish and dip the rim of your glass so it is covered. 

Cover the rim in sugar – Spread some white sugar on a plate or flat surface. Then dip the rim of the glass into the sugar, gently moving it back and forth while applying light pressure to ensure it sticks to the simple syrup.

Mix the ingredients – Pour the melon liqueur and then the coconut rum into a cocktail mixing glass and stir to combine.

Pour over ice and top it off – Add ice to your glass with the sugar rim and then add the melon liqueur and rum. Top the drink off with lemon-lime soda.

Garnish your drink and serve – Add a lime wheel to your glass and serve immediately.

Tips For A Great Tropical Cocktail

For a creamier twist, add a splash of coconut cream.

Instructions

  1. Create a sugar rim by dipping your glass in simple syrup (place in a shallow dish) and then gently rolling the rim into white sugar.
  2. Next, combine the Melin Liqueur and rum into a mixing glass and stir.
  3. Pour into a tall glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top with lemon-lime soda.
  5. Garnish with a wheel of lime
