So, what exactly goes into this aquatic-inspired marvel?

The Fish Bowl Cocktail typically starts with a base of a clear spirit like vodka or rum.

You can really use whatever alcohol you choose or skip it altogether for a kid-friendlly fish bowl mocktail.

Include gummy fish or sharks swimming among the ice cubes to add a sense of occasion.

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz vodka, rum or coconut rum
  • Blue Juice or 2oz Blue Curacao and 2 oz Pineapple juice
  • Sprite or lemon-lime soda, to top off
  • Ice cubes
  • Gummy fish or sharks
  • Nerds candy
  • Lemon slices

Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, combine your alcohol with your blue juice or the Blue Curacao and pineapple juice.

Add ice cubes to the mixing glass and shake well for about 15-20 seconds to chill the mixture.

Pour into the Fish Bowl

Add ice cubes to the bottom of your fish bowl.

Carefully strain the shaken cocktail mixture into the prepared fishbowl.

Pour carefully to avoid disrupting the candy at the bottom too much.

The vibrant blue color should fill the bottom of the bowl.

Top Off with Sprite

Gently pour Sprite or lemon-lime soda over the cocktail mixture until the fishbowl is almost full.

The soda adds a bubbly texture and lightens the flavors.

Garnish

Garnish the Fish Bowl Cocktail with gummy fish or sharks.

They will float among the ice cubes and add a playful touch to the presentation.

Add a slice of lemon to each glass.
