Ingredients:
- Bailey’s Irish Cream
- Vanilla Vodka
- Half n Half or Whole (full-fat) Milk
- Amaretto
- White Icing
- Christmas Sprinkles
Items Needed:
- 4 2-Ounce Shot Glasses
- Butter Knife
- Jigger
- Cocktail Shaker
How To Rim The Glass With Sprinkles
Using a butter knife, coat the rim of each shot glass with a thin layer of frosting.
Fill a small bowl with Christmas sprinkles and gently press the rim of each shot glass into the sprinkles until it’s fully covered all the way around.
Take care to not twist the shot glass in the sprinkles, but press it, lift the shot glass, rotate slightly, and then press the uncovered portion of the rim into the sprinkles again.
Repeat this until it’s covered, but be sure to lift and rotate, don’t move it around while buried in the sprinkles or it actually removes the frosting.
Making The Christmas Cookie Shot
Add the Bailey’s, vodka, half n half, and amaretto to a cocktail shaker.
Gently shake or stir to combine.
Strain into the prepared shot glasses, equally.
Tips For a Fantastically Festive Shot
- Serve immediately upon mixing. If only storing for a short period (like hours), it should be fine as long as it’s covered and stored in the fridge. The dairy can act up when stored mixed with the alcohol too long.
- Use chilled ingredients, but if your liquids aren’t chilled, add a couple pieces of ice to the cocktail shaker before mixing.
- You can use other sprinkles as well. Easy for matching party themes, etc.
Non-alcoholic version of the Sugar Cookie Shot
Here’s a non-alcoholic version of the Sugar Cookie Shot that still delivers all the sweet, cozy cookie flavor—perfect for kids, designated drivers, or anyone skipping the booze this holiday season.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz vanilla coffee creamer (or vanilla-flavored milk)
- 2 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 1 oz almond extract (go light—this is strong!)
- 1 oz milk or half & half
- Frosting (for rimming the shot glasses)
- Holiday sprinkles (for decorating the rim)
- Optional: whipped cream for topping
Rim the Glasses as per the regular shot recipe.
In a shaker or jar, combine vanilla creamer, condensed milk, almond extract, and milk.Add a few ice cubes and shake or stir until chilled and combined
Strain or pour into the decorated shot glasses.
