Ingredients needed:

  •  Frozen mango
  • Mango nectar
  •  Ice
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • Chamoy sauce
  • Granulated sugar
  • Tajin seasoning
  • Silver tequila
  • Triple Sec
  • Tamarind candy sticks (tamarind straws)

You can buy Tamarind candy sticks and Chamoy at most ethnic grocery stores.

You’ll need a blender in order to make this delicious cocktail, personally I swear by my Margaritaville mixer as it is a powerhouse that whips up multiple cocktails in minutes. You can easily double or triple this recipe to make more.

Chamoy is a flavor that can be found in Mexican and Asian cuisine. It is made from dried apricots, salt, sugar and chili peppers. Chamoy can be used as a dip for fruits or vegetables, or it can be added to drinks.

It has a sweet and sour taste, and a spicy kick.

What Is Tajin?

Tajín is a Mexican condiment made from chili peppers, lime juice, and salt. It goes well with fresh fruit and vegetables such as pico de gallo, jicama, or watermelon.

 The flavor of tajín is sour, spicy, and salty.

How To Make A Chamoy Cocktail

Combine your ingredients: Start by blending your frozen mango, tequila, triple sec, mango nectar, ice, lime juice, sugar in a blender until all smooth.

Prepare the glasses: Then dip the rims of your glasses in the Chamoy sauce and then in the tajin seasoning to create a nice rim on your glass.

Garnish: Drip some of the Chamoy sauce on the sides of the inside of the glass.

Pour the mango sorbet in the glass and serve with a tamarind straw. You can also use slices of mango or lime to garnish the glass.

A Mangonada Chamoy cocktail is the perfect drink for any occasion! It is refreshing and flavorful, and it always gets the party started.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz. Frozen mango
  • 12 oz. Mango nectar
  • 1 Cup Ice
  • 1 Lime, juiced
  • 3 tbsp Chamoy sauce
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp Tajin seasoning
  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 2 ounces Triple Sec
  • Tamarind candy sticks

Instructions

  1. Start by blending your frozen mango, tequila, triple sex, mango nectar, ice, lime juice, sugar in a blender until all smooth.
  2. Then dip the rims of your glasses in the Chamoy sauce and then in the tajin seasoning to create a nice rim on your glass.
