Jack Frost Mimosa Ingredients

Jack Frost Mimosa Ingredients

You already know that the classic mimosa is made with Champagne and orange juice. For this Jack Frost version, we use Blue Curacao to get that frosty blue look to our drink.

We still keep the Champagne as no mimosa is complete without some bubbles! Of course, feel free to use any sparkling wine you like including Prosecco or Cava. It really is all up to personal preference.

These are the simple ingredients you need for this delicious mimosa. For full step-by-step instructions, scroll down to our recipe card at the bottom of the page.

Ingredients:

  •  Blue Curacao
  • Champagne or sparking wine
  • Lemonade
  • Sugar
  • Sweetened coconut flakes for the glass
  • Honey for the glass

How To Rim Your Glass With Coconut

As this is a Jack Frost cocktail, we added shredded coconut to our glasses to give the appearance of icicles.

All you need to do is pour some honey or light corn syrup onto a shallow saucer and add some shredded coconut to another saucer.

First dip your glass in the honey and then in the coconut. Let the coconut set for a few minutes before serving your drink.

This delicious and festive Jack Frost Mimosa tastes just like the Christmas in a cup.

Not only is this holiday cocktail easy to make, it is impressive to serve to guests too!

One bottle of sparkling wine makes approximately 6-8 Mimosas.

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle Champagne or sparkling wine
  • 1/4 cup Blue Curacao
  • 2 cups Lemonade
  • Sugar
  • 1/3 cup sweetened coconut flakes for rimming
  • Honey

Instructions

Dip the rim of your glass in honey. Then dip it in the shredded coconut. Set aside to dry.

Split the blue Curacao between each glass.

Next add the lemonade to each Champagne glass until they are around 1/2 full.

Top with Champagne and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Non-alcoholic version - substitute the Champagne for club soda or sparkling water and use Blue Curacao syrup without alcohol.
  2. You can use any sparkling wine you wish for this cocktail. My preference is Cava as it is cheaper (!) and a bit lighter.
