As far as special equipment goes,  you don’t need anything more than a blender or a muddler and a cocktail shaker.

Here are the ingredients you need for this delicious drink:

  • Fresh watermelon, cubed and seeded
  • Your favorite white wine (preferably a light and fruity variety like Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • Soda water
  • Lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon of honey or simple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh Watermelon slice

How To Make A Watermelon White Wine Spritzer

Watermelon Spritzer Ingredients

Start by cutting the watermelon into small cubes and removing any seeds. I recommend using chilled melon as it makes the cocktail taste amazing.

Place the watermelon cubes in a blender or food processor along with the simple syrup and blend until smooth.

Alternatively, you can put the cubes into a mason jar or cocktail shaker and muddle until it is crushed.

If desired, you can strain the puree to remove any pulp, but it’s not necessary.

Next, in a cocktail shaker or pitcher,  combine the watermelon puree, white wine, lime juice, and simple syrup (if using).

Stir well to ensure all the flavors are evenly mixed.

When you’re ready to serve, fill tall glasses with ice cubes.

Pour the chilled watermelon and white wine mixture into the glasses, filling each glass about halfway.

Top each glass with soda water or sparkling water, stirring gently to combine.

Finish off your Watermelon White Wine Spritzer with a slice of fresh watermelon.

Tips For The Watermelon Wine Spritzer

  • While a light and fruity white wine is typically recommended, feel free to explore different varieties to find your personal preference. Some people may enjoy a slightly drier or sweeter spritzer.
  • The sweetness of the watermelon can vary, so taste the mixture before adding honey or simple syrup. If the watermelon is particularly sweet, you may not need any additional sweeteners.
  • Ensure all the ingredients are well-chilled before making the spritzer. This helps maintain the crispness and refreshing quality of the cocktail.
