Why I Love These Graveyard Jello Shots
First of all, these jello shots are so impressive!
They are actually really easy to make but totally look much harder.
If you make them with no alcohol, they will work great for a Halloween school party treat too.
Halloween Jello Shot Ingredients
I’ve made these jello shots with a berry flavored jello but you can use your favorite flavor of jello.
Red looks great though because it has that creepy blood effect.
Here’s what you need to make these graveyard jello shots:
- 1 package skittles wild berry jello or other berry jello
- 7 Oreo cookies
- 7 Milano cookies
- 42 Candy eyeball sprinkles
- Wilton Black sparkle gel icing
- Water
- 1/2 cup white rum
I used the larger 5.5 oz jello cups for my recipe but you can also use the smaller ones.
If you use the smaller cups you will get 14 jello cups out of the recipe and you will need the following:
- 14 Oreo Cookies
- 84 Candy eyeballs
- 14 Milano Cookies
If you cannot get Milano cookies, there are a few options you can use to create the tombstones.
The easiest would be to get the oval shaped arrowroot cookies or you could also use the french cookies known as lady fingers.
Directions For Making Halloween Jello Shots With Rum
Mix jello as directed on the box, replacing 1/2 cup of the cold water for rum.
Pour into jello cups/shots and place in fridge until set. I usually leave them overnight.
Once the jello has set. Remove the centers of the Oreo cookies and place them into a ziplock bag.
Crush them with the flat side of a kitchen mallet. Sprinkle on top of jello cups/shots.
Take the Milano cookies and place them on a tray or plate that will fit in the freezer.
Write RIP on them with the black sparkle gel.
Place in freezer until you are ready to serve the jello cups.
Just before serving, place the Milano cookies into the side of the jello cups.
