To make this raspberry mojito, you start with the classic mojito ingredients:
- Mint

- Simple Syrup
- White rum
I also added 6 fresh raspberries to my mojito.

What tools do I need to make the Raspberry Mojito?
You really don’t need much in order to make this cocktail which makes it perfect for any party or large gathering when you want to whip them up in minutes.
The only tool you’ll need to make this cocktail:
- A muddler for crushing the raspberries and mint leaves
Don’t have a muddler?
You can use the handle of a wooden spoon instead.
Raspberry Mojito Recipe Directions
This mojito is so easy to make!
Step 1: Muddle the Raspberries, Mint, Lime, and Sugar
In a sturdy glass or cocktail shaker, add the fresh raspberries, mint leaves, lime wedges, and granulated sugar.
Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush and muddle the ingredients together.
This helps release the juices and essential oils from the mint and lime, infusing the mixture with flavor.
Step 2: Add the Rum
Once the raspberries, mint, lime, and sugar are muddled, pour in the white rum.
This adds a kick of alcohol and balances out the sweetness of the fruit and sugar.
Step 3: Shake or Stir
If you’re using a cocktail shaker, add ice cubes to the shaker along with the muddled mixture and rum.
Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill the ingredients and blend the flavors together.
If you don’t have a shaker, simply stir the ingredients in the glass until well combined.
Step 4: Strain into a Glass
If you used a cocktail shaker, strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice cubes.
If you prefer a slightly chunkier texture, you can pour the mixture directly from the shaker into the glass without straining.
Step 5: Top with Club Soda
Once the mixture is in the glass, top it off with club soda or sparkling water to add a bit of effervescence and lighten the drink. Stir gently to combine.
Step 6: Garnish and Serve
For the finishing touch, garnish your Raspberry Mojito with a sprig of fresh mint, a few whole raspberries, and a slice of lime. Not only does this make your cocktail look extra appealing, but it also adds a burst of aroma and flavor with each sip.
Tips and Variations:
- For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the rum and increase the amount of club soda or sparkling water.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the mojito by adding more or less sugar according to your taste preferences.
- If raspberries aren’t in season or available, you can substitute with other berries. A strawberry mojito is also delicious! You can also try blackberries, or blueberries for a different twist on the classic mojito.
- Experiment with different types of rum for unique flavor profiles. While white rum is traditional, you can also try using dark rum or flavored rums for a more complex taste experience.
