Hocus Pocus Witches Brew Ingredients
Who doesn’t love witches?
And what better way to celebrate Halloween than with a witches brew cocktail?
This drink is perfect for a spooky evening.
Made with lime sherbet and white rum, it’s the perfect blend of sweet and boozy.
The ingredients below serve 2 and can easily be doubled or tripled to make more.
To make this cocktail, you will need:
- 8 scoops lime sherbet
- 4 cups lemon lime soda
- 2 drops neon green food gel
- Black sparkle gel for decorating
- 2 oz. rum
What Is Lime Sherbet?
I’m going to be honest, where I grew up in the UK, sherbet means a completely different thing so I thought it would be best to actually clarify what kind of lime sherbet you need.
I originally thought that what North Americans call sherbet is what Europeans call Sorbet but in fact, American sherbet is actually sorbet and dairy (milk or cream) together.
Most sherbet is made with citrus fruits such as lime and orange.
You can buy it in the freezer department of your local grocery store.
For those of you wondering what UK sherbet is, well, its a kind of fizzy, sour candy powder that children love!
How to make a Hocus Pocus Cocktail
Before making the cocktail, prep your glass by adding crosses to rim using the black sparkle gel.
This will not harden so be careful with it when pouring the drink in.
Step 1
Place sherbet in a bowl and two drops neon green food gel.
Pour in 7up.
Step 2
Whisk until the sherbet is dissolved. Stir in rum.
Add a straw and serve immediately.
Hocus Pocus Witches BrewMocktail
To make this bright green cocktail into a mocktail, all you have to do is omit the rum on step 2.
