Fall Sangria: Frequently asked questions
What kind of apples go in sangria?
Apples are pretty much a mainstay of sangria recipes and in a fall sangria, they are an absolute must! You can use almost any kind of apple that is in season but the crunchier, the better. Granny Smith or Pink Lady are great options.
How far ahead of time can I make sangria?
The great thing about this sangria recipe is that you can make it ahead of time and serve it when your guests arrive. The sangria will soak into the apples and make them even more delicious! Leave your pitcher of sangria for up to 48 hours in the fridge.
Why do I need to leave the sangria overnight?
Although not entirely necessary, leaving your sangria for a few hours can really help the wine and fruit meld together and create a better tasting sangria.
