Nothing says the holidays more than the traditional red and white peppermint stick.

I’ve made a candy cane jello shots before but for some reason, I didn’t make shots until this Christmas.

I was looking for something fun to serve at my annual holiday party and I decided to serve a simple make ahead shot.

Candy Cane Shot Ingredients

You don’t need much to make these delicious candy cane shooters.

In fact, all you need are two simple ingredients plus the obligatory candy canes for the garnish!

Here are the ingredients you will need.

• White Chocolate Liqueur
• Peppermint Vodka

For the rim:

• Crushed candy canes
• Honey or light corn syrup

You’ll need shot glasses and a cocktail shaker too!

You can buy peppermint vodka (Smirnoff Twisted Peppermint is the most popular) at most liquor stores but if you have trouble finding it, you can actually make your own homemade candy cane infused vodka.

It only takes a few minutes of hands-on time and makes a great hostess gift too! 

How To Make A Candy Cane Shot

Step 1:Rim your glass

The first step and arguably the most important is the beautifully festive candy cane rim. 

Dip your glass in the honey and then into a saucer container the crushed candy cane pieces.

Set aside for a few minutes while you make the shots.

Step 2: Add your ingredients

Add the peppermint vodka and chocolate liqueur to the shot glass one at a time. 

 

How To Serve your Candy Cane Shooters

The best way to serve this delicious shot is with a mini candy cane hanging off the side.
