I love making fun cocktails for St Patrick’s Day. We all know about green beer but sometimes it is fun to look beyond beer and try some exciting green cocktail recipes.

If you love the taste of tequila, you might be surprised to try this delicious cocktail which is an Irish-inspired version of a classic Tequila cocktail.
It is easy to make and really impressive as well as delicious.
And it is so tasty that you will find yourself mixing it up during the rest of the year too.

Irish Tequila Drink Ingredients
This is a super simple cocktail to make that doesn’t require any special equipment or fancy ingredients.

As far as special equipment goes, you don’t need anything more than a cocktail shaker and a strainer.
To create the perfect St Patrick’s Day cocktail, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Tequila
- Blue Curacao
- Orange Juice
How To Make A Lucky Mexican Cocktail
Add ice to a cocktail shaker then pour in the Tequila, Blue Curacao, and orange juice.
Shake for 15 seconds then strain into a tumbler with fresh ice.
Garnish with a shamrock cocktail pick or fun green and white straw and serve immediately.
Tips For The Perfect Irish Tequila Drink
- Use Agave Tequila where possible as it is smooth and goes great with the Blue Curacao.
- Blue Curacao is available in non-alcoholic versions too so you can make an alcohol-free version of this cocktail by omitting the tequila (use club soda instead).
- Pulp-free orange juice is best for this cocktail

- 1 oz Agave Tequila
- 1/2 oz Blue Curacao
- 1 cup of Orange Juice
Instructions
- Add ice to a cocktail shaker then pour in the Tequila, Blue Curacao, and orange juice.
- Shake for 15 seconds then strain into a tumbler with fresh ice.
- Garnish with a shamrock cocktail pick or fun green and white straw and serve immediately.
Notes
Agave Tequila is the best choice for this drink. I love the 1800 Tequila.
