What’s in the Little Mermaid Cocktail?
The Little Mermaid is a classic story that has been told many times over.
But what if you took the classic story and mixed it with a delicious cocktail? The result is the Little Mermaid Cocktail.
It is a refreshing drink that is perfect for a summer day.

To make this drink you need:
- Spiced Rum
- Coconut Rum
- Blue Curacao
- Pineapple Juice
- Lime Juice
- Lime Wheel
Optional - Blue Edible Glitter
- Sprinkles for the rim
I got my blue glitter from Amazon. It is so great for adding a shimmer to any kind of cocktail or mocktail you want to make.
How To Make Mermaid Water: The Little Mermaid Cocktail
If you’re ready to get drinking, here are the basic steps to the make this pretty glitter cocktail
- Get your glass ready – Add your glitter top (optional). Fill a cocktail glass with ice and add lime slices along the side.
- Add both Rums, Blue Curacao, Pineapple juice and lime juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
- Shake for 15 seconds
- Pour the drink into your cocktail glass.
- Add blue sprinkles and stir slowly (optional)
- Serve immediately
How To Make A Sparkling Blue Rim
Lastly, let’s talk about that glittery rim! Entirely optional, this gives your cocktail the perfect magical touch.
To make the rim you need clear honey (the runny kind)
It is so easy to make the rim:
- Spread the sprinkles on a plate or large bowl in an even layer.
- Put honey on another plate
- Tilt the cocktail glass into the honey so that it sticks to the outside edge.
- Next dip the rim into the sprinkles. Set aside for a few minutes before making your cocktail
Mermaid Water: The Little Mermaid Cocktail
The little Mermaid Cocktail is based on the classic little mermaid story, and it's sure to put a smile on your face by the way it looks and tastes.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Spiced Rum
- 1.5 oz Coconut Rum
- 1.5 oz Blue Curacao
- 7 oz Pineapple Juice
- 3/4 oz. Lime Juice
- Lime Wheel
- Optional
- Blue Edible Glitter
- Sprinkles for the rim
Instructions
- Get your Cocktail glass ready - Make your sprinkle top. Fill the glass with ice and lime wheels. Set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add both Rums, Blue Curacao, Pineapple juice, lime juice.
- Shake for 15 seconds
- Strain into your prepared glass.
- Add blue sprinkles and stir slowly.
- Serve and enjoy
Notes
To make your drink extra special, add blue edible glitter to the rim and to the drink once you have poured it into the glass.
